Mixed Bag

It was a lovely day in the neighborhood with more memories, burritos, and...clay.

Emily begins another masterpiece

New Raku Top Hat Kiln

Gina working on reusable fortune cookies. It's blurry because I don't want to give away her secret technique. And if you believe that, I have some ocean front property for sale in SE Denver.

The rebuilt low-fire salt kiln is being used as an end table until the burners are replaced.

Speaking of memory or lack there of...what was the name of that group you pulled out of the sky, Steve?

The Back Porch Majority...of course!

We're Back!

New year, new beginnings. We had a full house in class with a few visitors thrown in for good measure. Lots of catch-up with funny to very sad tales. But, the clay goes on......and around.......

Cake and Tobacco

Gina turned 21....plus tax and she celebrated by bringing us a tobacco technique for glazing. An oldie but a goodie. That's the glazing technique, not Gina.

Steve brought some funky clay to scare us all away...tune in next week!

What A Day!

Great vibes in class today. Lots of activity, discussions and...DUFFY ROLLS!! Thanks, Donna. They were gone so fast I didn't get a picture but I did take a few snaps of other stuff.....

Cindy's Ferric Pot

Cindy's Raku Pot

Jacque's Painted Pots

Kris' Carved Pots

Low Fire demo begins

Demo realized!

Slump it!

Loosy, Goosy from Steve

The Shino Gang

Steve has been in the Laboratory again and this is what happens when, as Steve says, "bad shinos get together." Not too shabby!

Thanks for this Halloween treat, Steve!

Spray Glaze Results!

Last Saturday it was raining and snowing in Denver. Today it's supposed to be 85! It was a busy day in class with lots of projects going on at the same time. The hardest part is trying to decide which conversation you want to join..so why not all of them!

                  Spray Glaze Results Are In!!

These results caused the compressor to be fired up again!

So, another successful Saturday morning pottery class.

Thanks for checking in!

October 1, 2011

Not much to report this week. I neglected to bring my camera so no action shots. Marianne did a great demo that will be continued next week so I promise to update you then. Meanwhile, here are some pictures of my Spirit Woman that I rakued last week.
